April 22 - The Poway Spring Family Festival, supported by the Poway Chamber of Commerce, is a FREE regional event that attracts more than 10,000 attendees from the greater San Diego area. The event features the popular Madame Mechanic Classic Car Show, a variety of food choices from local vendors, talented crafters, entertainment, beer garden and a kid zone. Hours: 10am-3:30pm.

Canine Angels Service Team is a program that specializes in the training of canines to help disabled children with everyday tasks. Their program states, "In addition to providing companionship and unconditional love, our carefully selected and professionally trained dogs make a positive lifetime impact on children in becoming more self-sufficient, productive members of society as they reach adulthood.”

It is a special day to celebrate the magic and unconditional love that puppies bring to our lives. But more importantly, it is a day to help save orphaned puppies across the globe and educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills.
